In Tel Aviv's urban development, civil and military areas were establish in the city, while the country was growing, those areas expanded and intensified to services in national scale.
Places like hospitals, shopping centers, military camps, universities, industrial and business areas spread on wide areas and became "black box" in the city. This is the result of Planning Policy which called Separation of uses, zoning.
The zoning damages and disrupts the urban continuity, therefore It is necessary to find how the city can functional decentralize in a way that doesn't hurt the function but will be an integral part of the urban story.
In my project, I chose to take part in planning the city and its expansion and not by clearing and development, in purpose to enable Tel Aviv to maintain the urban qualities.
The project will create an integrated and organic planning that is developing from the existing residential System. The project will function as an urban campus and will contain some functions from the hospital system, some of the university departments are related to the Healthcare, facilities to support the learning environment like library that will serve all local residents, student residence, business to develop the entire area and large public spaces as an integral part of the residence.
Using public spaces on the Yarkon river level, the biggest green lung of Tel Aviv is getting in the heart of the project. The treatment in the riverbank is by using "fingers" which expands the face area of the city with the river and create a new façade to the river.
