Israel is a country that contains many different cultures from different parts of the world. Each group came with their own unique memory of their movement, bringing cultural elements expressed in space that turns to be multi-colored.
In order to examine the cultural grasp of space connecting different cultures and their relationship with the sea, I chose to focus on the area between Wolfson Interchange (Ayalon-highway) up to Giv'at Aliya, Jaffa. The movement from the east to the west symbolizes the opposite movement from "Europe" to the "Middle East".
In my perception, nowadays this place functions as a road, which is only suited for vehicles.
The purpose of the project is to create an urban road which acts as a meeting space between different cultures. It gives meaning to the space and maintains the social diversion of Israeli population.
As I was planning the project, I created a new urban tissue that is assembled from fragments/joints between the main horizontal axis to the sea. This tissue is a result of mixing ("SHAKSHUKA") different populations, textures and different functions.
