By the end of the 19th century, the Age of Enlightenment started to subvert the roots of the traditional Jewish community and thus begun the conflict between the orthodox community and the secular community. The conflict created a unique situation; two cultures of the same origin, are constantly driving away from each other. In order to re-establish a profound connection between those two cultures, there is a need to interface in a way that will not affect or cause any damage to the orthodox nor the secular community and lifestyle.
Bnei-Brak, one of the most crowded cities in Israel, has a strong and intense urbanism, but what distinguishes it from other cities, is rather the complex communal system that works in the city.
Since the orthodox community is a very conservative one, and change is not very welcome, there is a need to meet that community in the most authentic way, thus, the city that hosts a conflictual phenomenon like Bnei-Brak, can be the place where the orthodox and the secular community will meet and start to get closer as they were before.
